BoFs

We encourage both planned and spontaneous BoFs at DrupalCampNYC 2020 and will reserve (virtual) space for people to gather on Friday, November 13th.

Have a BoF in mind? Submit a BoF and we'll get your BoF scheduled and promoted in advance!

Email camp-session@drupalnyc.org with any questions.

What are BoFs?

Birds of a Feather sessions (or BoFs) are informal gatherings of like-minded individuals who wish to discuss a certain topic without a pre-planned agenda. BoFs allow groups to meet and discuss issues relating to regular conference sessions and talk out common problems facing the community.

Have fun and learn! BoFs exist to provide attendees with an inclusive, informal environment in which to share ideas freely. BoFs can be serious and a great way to gather the people you’ve been working remotely with on a project in a space to deep dive on a topic, but they can also be fun as well. Knitting BoF? Why not?

Drupal Coffee Exchange

Many of us in the Drupal community enjoy coffee, let's get together online and talk about the magic elixir that many of us use to fuel our days.
This is also an excellent opportunity to have a retrospective for the traditional Drupal Coffee Exchange that is organized every quarter...Don't know about the exchange?? That's alright, come and get acquainted. Grab a cup of your favorite brew and chat among friends.

To help facilitate any sort of coffee-related discussions, we created the #coffee-exchange channel on Drupal Slack.

Drupal Ladder initiative

Drupal Ladder is built for technologists to learn, share, and contribute to the Drupal Community. It is an effort to enable a collaborative place where the beginners can get guidance from the diehard Drupal community posting various information in the form of instructions, how-to guides, or videos in a sequential manner.

With the passion to share the knowledge of Drupal, the Drupal ladder provides a platform for the people interested in Drupal to share their ideas with others who are unable to taste the fun of playing with it. You can contribute as much or as less as you want to share your Drupal story. Whether you are an experienced drupalier who wants to share your creative freedom or a newbie willing to master Drupal - Drupal Ladder is for everyone.

Drupal Content Management Role Models

In this BoF, we want to discuss areas where Drupal can improve its Content Management experience by learning from other CMSs. Example areas of focus include: WYSIWYG, layout builder, taxonomy management, menu management and media management. It is great if you have experience with other CMSs to bring to the group, but not required. If you know of new projects propelling Drupal in these areas, be prepared to share URLs.
